What we do

Dear Future lets you upload photographs, write a message and schedule a physical postcard to be mailed on a future date you choose. We prepare your postcard, pass it to our printing and mailing partner, and it is sent by postal mail.

Prices and payment

A single postcard is $8, with printing and postage included. Memberships are billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you buy. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.

A membership renews until you cancel it. Cancelling stops future charges, and the current period is not refunded unless the law says otherwise.

No refunds on postcards

Because every postcard is printed and mailed for you, postcard purchases are final and are not refunded. Please review your photographs, message, address and mailing date before you pay.

Mailing dates and delivery

Postcards are scheduled for future mailing. The date you choose is the date we aim to mail your postcard, not a guaranteed delivery date. Actual delivery depends on the postal service and can vary by several days.

Please check the recipient’s address carefully. You can change an address until the card is handed over for printing and mailing, which is shortly before the mailing date. After that the change cannot be made. We are not responsible for a postcard that cannot be delivered because of an incorrect or outdated address.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photographs and words. You give us permission to store them and to print and mail them as you ordered. You confirm that you have the right to use every photograph and that your content is lawful.

Your content is private and our team does not read it. Instead, an automatic check runs on each message and each photo when it is added, and no person sees it. Messages that encourage self-harm, threaten or harass someone, or contain hateful, explicit or unlawful content are not allowed. Photos showing nudity, sexual content or graphic violence, including nudity of children, are not allowed. The check will stop them, and you will be asked to change your message or choose another photo.

Accounts

You can order a single postcard without an account. A free account lets you save drafts and keep a private vault; memberships need one. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can download your information or delete your account at any time from Privacy and your data in your account.

Our responsibility

We take care with every postcard, but the service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for delays or losses caused by the postal service or events outside our control.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
